Hello Novice Hockey Parents,
Welcome back to another year of Hockey, and for some of you welcome to the Lake Bonavista Hockey Association. The Hockey Calgary Novice Hockey Program has gone through some changes, and it will now be called the Novice Development League (NDL)
Player Development
As per the NDL, beginning in September we will start with Player Development Sessions, these sessions will focus on skill development and will not be part of the evaluation process. There will be seven of these sessions for each player. By the end of September we will begin the player evaluation process and team selection.

Coach Development
All parents that would like to be involved in coaching will be required to help out with the Development Sessions to be held in September. The more help we have on the ice the better the sessions will be for the kids. If you are interested in helping out please let us know.
The development of coaches is critical to the success of the NDL. All head and assistant coaches will be required to take the Novice Coaching Specialty Clinic (1 1/2 hours off ice and 1 1/2 hours on ice). The dates and registration for these free clinics will be updated closer to the season start.
